Walk Towards One Earth Family [Español abajo] 

2019  a Beginning, with No End…

We are living in times of unprecedented global awareness. It is becoming increasingly more evident the different ways in which we impact each other with the choices we make, from the obvious, in our actions, all the way to the subtler level, in the thoughts we have. 

Unfortunately, we are often surrounded by habits of desconeccion and a culture of fragmentation that have great repercussions in the ways we live, and influence our mostly reactions to pain and harm, as opposed to respond with equanimity, love and compassion. 

Take the example of the current humanitarian crisis at the so called “border” in the parts of the Planet we call Mexico and the U.S.. Unless we address the root causes of the diaspora forcing our sisters and brothers and their children to migrate, we are going to find ourselves reacting to a never-ending loop of emergencies. In the meanwhile, it is our moral responsibility to treat each other, at the very least, with respect to learn each other’s stories. 

But what if we engage in a long term vision to take fierce care of our grand human family and the Earth Community as a whole? A kind of Overground Railroad** facilitating the collective liberation of each and everyone of us. A path so beautiful that strongly calls our heads, hearts, hands and spirits to participate in a small way to bridge our lives with more joy and harmony.

This path is a social sculpture of love in deep collaboration with Nature that will require many generations to be completed as the living root bridges do in the part of the Planet we call Meghalaya. Once we hear and feel our collective heartbeat we refuse to betray our planetary heart.  This is the center and essence of the Camino hacia Una Familia de la Tierra / Walk Towards One Earth Family, containing everything equally and at the same time, because hardships and blessings are inevitably intertwined.  

As multiple forms of disconnection become evident, so the rising up to forge bridges of love that reconnect us all. By losing connection to nature, we have created an ecological divide; by diluting connection with each other, we have manifested a social divide; and by ignoring connection with ourselves, we have deepened our spiritual divide.

This is our attempt to move from difficulty into sanctuary born out of sacrifice. Sacrifice literally understood at its root: “sacrum facere” to make sacred. To be able to re-member that Migration is Sacred.

As a radical stream of light, that is, light coming from our roots, we don’t recognize nation states or any imaginary lines created to fragment our greater undivided love as the grand human family and the Beloved Earth Community. We are humbled by the stewards of the land, our ancestors and the spirit of all humanity. It is our intention to respect and honor all our relations, each and every single one of us, each and every single being living in this glorious Earth.

Camino Hacia Una Familia de la Tierra 

2019 un principio sin final

Estamos viviendo tiempos de una conciencia global sin precedentes. Cada vez son más evidentes las diferentes formas en las que nos impactamos mutuamente con las elecciones que tomamos, que van desde lo obvio, en nuestras acciones, hasta el nivel más sutil, que son los pensamientos que tenemos.

Desafortunadamente a menudo estamos rodead@s por hábitos de desconexión y por una cultura de fragmentación que tienen una gran repercusión en las formas que vivimos, e influyen nuestras (principalmente)reacciones ante el dolor y el daño, en lugar de responder con ecuanimidad, amor y compasión.

Tomemos el ejemplo de la actual crisis humanitaria en la disque “frontera” en las partes del planeta que llamamos México y Estados Unidos. A menos que abordemos las causas de la raíz de la diáspora que obliga a nuestr@s hermanas y hermanos y a sus hij@s a migrar, nos vamos a encontrar reaccionando a un ciclo interminable de emergencias. Mientras tanto, es nuestra responsabilidad moral tratarnos, al menos, con respeto para aprender las historias de cada un@ de nosotr@s.

Pero ¿qué pasaría si nos comprometemos con una visión a largo plazo para cuidar ferozmente a nuestra gran familia humana y a la Comunidad de la Tierra en su totalidad? Una especie de ferrocarril a la luz del día ** que facilita la liberación colectiva de tod@s y cada un@ de nosotr@s. Un camino tan hermoso que llama fuertemente a nuestras mentes, corazones, manos y espíritus a participar de una manera pequeña para unir nuestras vidas con más alegría y armonía.

Esta es una escultura social de amor en profunda colaboración con la Naturaleza que requerirá de muchas generaciones para ser completada, así como los puentes de raíces vivas en la parte del Planeta que llamamos Meghalaya. Una vez que escuchamos y sentimos nuestro latido colectivo, nos rehusamos a traicionar nuestro corazón planetario. Este es el centro y la esencia del Camino Hacia Una Familia de la Tierra, que contiene todo de manera equitativa y al mismo tiempo, porque las dificultades y las bendiciones inevitablemente se entrelazan.

A medida que se tornan evidentes las múltiples formas de desconexión, así también se manifiesta el levantamiento para forjar puentes de amor que nos reconectan a tod@s. Al perder la conexión con la Naturaleza, hemos creado una división ecológica; al diluir la conexión entre personas, hemos manifestado una división social; y al ignorar la conexión con nosotr@s mism@s, hemos profundizado nuestra división espiritual.

Este es nuestro intento de pasar de la dificultad al santuario nacido del sacrificio. Sacrificio entendido literalmente en su raíz: “sacrum facere” hacer sagrado. Para poder recordar que la migración es sagrada.

Como una corriente de luz radical, es decir, la luz que proviene de nuestras raíces, nostr@s no reconocemos los estados nación ni ninguna de las líneas imaginarias creadas para fragmentar nuestro gran amor indivisible manifestado como la gran familia humana y la Comunidad de la Tierra. Estamos llen@s de un sentimiento de humildad por l@s que han cuidado de la tierra, nuestr@s antepasad@s ​​y el espíritu de toda la humanidad. Es nuestra intención respetar y honrar todas nuestras relaciones, tod@s y cada un@ de nosotr@s, todos y cada uno de los seres que viven en esta gloriosa Tierra.


** haciendo alusión al “ferrocarril subterráneo”, el movimiento social en la parte del Planeta que llamamos EUA, que sirvió para liberar a miles de personas que estaban esclavizadas.
